Update1 for Iligan City-Current Situation

The Malcañan Palace said that they are not signing the Memorandum of Agreement unless the MILF surrender their three head members for attacking the helpless and innocent civilians in the province of Mindanao. President Arroyo said that the persons responsible for it should put behind bars since they have disregarded the law.

Though the MILF said that they will cease-fire if the government will return to them their member who were captured by the AFP, but the government said that it is not possible because in terms of the MOA-Ad the case should be handled lawfully, that is why those who are responsible for the attacks should face the consequences of being put behind bars and suffers the appropriate penalties for their acts.

The President said that the government are not setting aside the peace talk but everything should be put in order first before signing the agreement, but if the MILF leaders will still be tough in doing so, then they the government no choice but to enforce law and force them to surrender instead.
